We’re an auditioned choir

All potential members are informally auditioned to keep standards high. This ensures our singers have a strong musical ear and good reading ability.

We’re committed and flexible.

Not everyone can make every rehearsal, but everyone can be relied upon to be performance-ready. We have fun rehearsing and always want to do more!

We’re involved in about 5 events per year.

We meet to rehearse on Wednesday evenings, and usually perform on Sunday evenings. We also support our host venue, St Faith’s, by singing at a couple of services each year.

ROLLING AUDITIONS...

January 26

There are a couple of spaces available in each voice part. We’re especially interested in hearing from a low bass. If you’re near South London and want to sing in a chamber choir, message and tell us a bit about yourself.

Who we are

Musical Director

Elspeth Wyllie is a professional choir leader and pianist based in South London. She is MD of Horsley Choral Society and the Women’s Choir at Blackheath Conservatoire.

Our Singers

We have a wealth of musical experience.

All of the singers are professional musicians or experienced amateurs. Our group includes a composer, an ex-lay clerk, performers, instrumentalists and teachers.

Where

St Faith’s

Casina Singers rehearse and perform in St Faith’s North Dulwich. It has an incredible acoustic and ambience. We’re very grateful to Father Nick and the Director of Music for supporting our choir.

Casina Singers

We take our name from the Casina Estate, a private house and garden in the area that dated back to 1619. Sunray Gardens (the park opposite the church) contain the water gardens from the original estate.

Our first concert marked the start of Advent 2025. We performed music by Robert Nathaniel Dett, William Matthias, Sally Beamish and Will Todd (plus a couple of classics by David Willcocks and John Rutter.)

We were overwhelmed by the support from our audience. This is what they said…

Mind-blowing!

a beautifully-crafted programme…

remarkable blend and colour.
